Lieneke Geerts
Physical therapist | MSc. Manual Therapist |
Somatic tinnitus | jaw problems | headaches | dizziness
Lieneke has been working as a physiotherapist since 2001 and subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Manual Therapy at SOMT. Her graduation research focused on positional vertigo. Within manual therapy, she has further specialized in complaints related to the head and neck region, with a particular interest in orofacial disorders. She treats, among other things, neck complaints, jaw problems, somatic tinnitus, various types of headaches, and dizziness.
Through years of experience and targeted continuing education, Lieneke has developed broad and up-to-date expertise. She closely follows developments within her field and applies them in her treatments, with a strong focus on a personal and patient-centered approach.
Internationally, she has further expanded her knowledge through a four-week postgraduate course at Manual Concepts in Perth (Australia). In addition, she attended the masterclass in Vestibular Rehabilitation at the UCL Ear Institute in London, focusing on the treatment of balance disorders.
In cases of head and neck complaints, sleep is also taken into account. Poor sleep can affect pain, muscle tension, and recovery. Therefore, when necessary, attention is also given to sleep alongside manual therapy treatment.
